Renee Palakovic Named Federal Grants Supervisor


Columbia, TN (July 27, 2020) — Maury County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Renee Palakovic has been named as the district's Federal Program Supervisor. Palakovic in a statement said, “I am passionate about meeting the needs of students and am excited for the opportunity to serve in Maury County Public Schools.”

Renee Palakovich Renee is currently serving as the Director of Federal Programs/Professional Development Specialist for Williamson County Schools. Before serving in Williamson County, she spent more than 28 years administering federal education programs at the Tennessee Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in reading, with educational licensure in both Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

Renee has also worked as a grant writer for Mental Health America of the MidSouth and has extensive experience in identifying, writing, and administering private foundation grants.  She has been a featured speaker at national and state conferences and has extensive experience developing and delivering professional development. Renee has spent over 30 years working with federal education programs and grants to ensure funds are used in a compliant and effective manner to meet the needs of students, teachers, and families.
