Early Post-Secondary Opportunities (EPSOs)

High school students in Maury County are encouraged to participate in dual enrollment to earn an initial technical credential or a semester of college credit free of tuition and fees, while still pursuing a high school diploma. Maury County Public Schools offers the following Dual Enrollment coursework with the following postsecondary institutions:

TCAT Hohenwald

  • Administrative Office Technology (Battle Creek, Central, Hampshire, Mount Pleasant, Santa Fe, Spring Hill)
  • Barbering (Central) 
  • Building Construction Technology (Mount Pleasant)
  • Computer Aided Design Technology (Mount Pleasant, Spring Hill)
  • Cosmetology (Central, Spring Hill)
  • Criminal Justice (Battle Creek, Central, Santa Fe, Spring Hill)
  • Digital Graphic Design Technology (Battle Creek, Central, Spring Hill)
  • Electro-Mechanical Technology (Battle Creek, Central, Mount Pleasant, Spring Hill)
  • Forestry and Ag Technology (Central, Mount Pleasant, Spring Hill)
  • Machine Tool Technology (Spring Hill)
  • Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting (Battle Creek, Central, Hampshire, Mount Pleasant, Santa Fe, Spring Hill)
  • Welding Technology (Central, Mount Pleasant, Santa Fe, Spring Hill)

TCAT Pulaski

  • Administrative Office Technology (Culleoka)
  • Computer Operating Systems, Networking, and Cybersecurity (Spring Hill)
  • Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting (Culleoka, Spring Hill)
  • Welding Technology (Culleoka)

Students may also pursue other TCAT program of study coursework on a TCAT campus if they can provide their own transportation and if there is seat room within the program which they are seeking to pursue. 

Columbia State Community College

Columbia State Community College offers dual enrollment coursework on MCPS campuses according to student course request totals. Students are also free to pursue dual enrollment on the CSCC main campus. 

Additionally, our students have the opportunity to earn Local Dual Credit (LDC) with the following postsecondary institutions in the following CTE programs of study.

Columbia State Community College

  • Culinary (Central)
  • Advanced Manufacturing (Battle Creek, Central)
  • Audio/Visual Technology (Central)

Middle Tennessee State University

  • Agriculture (Spring Hill)

Finally, students in Maury County CTE courses may earn Statewide Dual Credit in the following courses at the following MCPS campuses:

  • C18H09 Introduction to Plant Science (Central, Hampshire)
  • C30H11 Criminal Justice (Central, Culleoka, Spring Hill)
  • C31H27 Principles of Marketing (Central, Spring Hill)
  • C12H44 Introduction to Business (Spring Hill)
