Urgent Message to All Maury County Public Schools Families

Dear Maury County Families,

We have received reports that there are messages circulating on several social media platforms regarding potential threats to MCPS schools. At this time, we have received ZERO threats or notifications. The Maury County Sheriff’s Office is fully aware and is actively investigating the situation. MCPS officials and the Sheriff’s Office are in continuous contact, and there are NO credible threats at this time.

Please rest assured that all of our dedicated School Resource Officers (SROs) are fully aware and are remaining vigilant. You may notice an increased presence of law enforcement officers in our schools tomorrow as a precautionary measure. MCPS will continue to work closely with our partners to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out to share information about what they have seen or heard. Together, we will continue to prioritize the safety of your children, our most precious resource.
